Children's Miracle Network at UC Davis Children's Hospital

UC Davis Children’s Hospital is one of the only comprehensive children’s hospital in Northern California and the Central Valley’s only level I pediatric trauma center, level IV neonatal intensive care unit, level I ACS-verified children’s surgery center, and fetal care and treatment center providing care for children in 33 counties covering 65,000 square miles. That means we provide care for more than 7,000 children spanning from the bay area, to Redding and to the Nevada and Oregon borders. A huge lift for our tiniest patients!

Thanks to our critical transport teams, we can provide immediate care to an injured child 24-hours a day, seven days a week reaching them with our pediatric ambulance or helicopter. The team carries out more than 400 transports each year, covering a huge territory. The pediatric ambulance and many of the equipment used by the transport team were paid for with donations raised through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN). 

UC Davis Children’s Hospital became a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) affiliated hospital in 1984 (one of the nation’s first hospitals to join the partnership!)  a national nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for, and awareness of 170 children’s hospitals in the nation. 

Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis Children’s Hospital connects and inspires community support for the healthiest future of the children and families we are privileged to serve. In fact, donations from CMN partners and community campaigns account for 80% of the children’s hospital donations. 

Donated funds support programs, research, lifesaving equipment, and innovations in patient care services that enhance the patient’s hospital experience, including our Child Life Programs like music therapy, art therapy and our four canine companions.

To provide the best care for kids, children’s hospitals rely on donations and community support, as Medicaid and insurance programs do not fully cover the cost of care. CMN at UC Davis has helped fill those funding gaps by raising funds from individual donors just like you! Most just $1 at a time!
