Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services

A nonprofit organization

$362,522 raised by 1,216 donors

Founded 48 years ago in the basement of Immaculate Conception Church, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) has grown into the largest nonprofit provider of basic human needs in Sacramento County, currently supplying our community with food, diapers, utility assistance, immigration legal services and refugee resettlement services.

More than 1 in 4 people in Sacramento County are at risk of hunger. As the food bank for Sacramento county, and the central hub of our community’s charitable distribution network, our objective is to provide healthy, nutritious food to children, families and seniors in need to help them live their best lives and reach their full potential.

Through our work, we were able to distribute 37.9 million pounds of food to our neighbors experiencing hunger in 2023, the equivalent of 31.6 million meals.
