Bring it Home: Affordable Housing in Jeffco

Every dollar counts, whether it's $25 or $10,000. 

No matter the amount, your donation will be invested in efforts to preserve or increase middle-income housing in Jefferson County (Jeffco).

At the heart of our community is the importance of housing. It provides a sense of safety, security and wellbeing. But many hard-working people in Jeffco—such as teachers, nurses, firefighters, librarians, police officers and nonprofit employees—face the challenge of being unable to afford to live near where they work.

To help bridge this gap, Colorado Gives Foundation created the Bring it Home Fund, seeding it with $15 million. This fund invests in Jeffco housing by providing low-cost capital to create and maintain affordable housing for people earning $52,000 to $150,000, depending on family size.

It’s a big problem that takes time, and no one person or organization can tackle alone.

Want to do even more?

Open a Donor Advised Fund. With a minimum contribution of $25,000, you can open a donor advised fund (DAF) and choose the Bring it Home Fund as your investment option. This fund will be invested in efforts to preserve or increase middle-income housing in Jeffco. After the investment period, both the principal and any earnings will be returned to your DAF. As the fund advisor, you can then recommend grants to support other causes or nonprofits that matter to you.
