Hey, I’m Eric, just a Davis, CA kid who grew up swinging golf clubs and now chases five wild kids around Sacramento. I’m hitting the greens at the 2026 L5 Investments Capital Cup for Sierra Pregnancy and Health’s Fatherhood Program, a cause that’s got my whole heart, thanks to my dad, Mark, who’s pouring his soul into leading it.

My folks love to retell this story about my son James, maybe four at the time, thrusting a toy at them and declaring, “Hold this—you’re on my team.” It’s family lore now, and it’s stuck with me because it’s so true: we’re all just trying to be team players for our kids, fumbling and laughing through it.

That’s why I’m swinging for the Fatherhood Program. It’s there for dads like me, who are winging it but want to show up strong. My dad’s building a community where guys get real talk, real tools, and a real shot at being great fathers. As a wealth strategist—think virtual family office, blending personal planning, business strategy, and tax wizardry—I spend my days helping folks secure their futures... But my real job? Being a dad and passing on a legacy of love. I played golf in college, but these days, I’m more likely to be at a T-ball game, secretly hoping one of my kids picks up a nine-iron so I can justify sneaking to the course.

At the Capital Cup, I’m battling for that $100,000 prize to fuel Sierra Pregnancy and Health, where every penny you donate helps dads step up. Our Goal is to raise funds so we can triple the amount of men we are serving, reaching 450 dads in need.
