Josh believes that closing the gender gap in data and technology careers makes the industry stronger for everyone, and that's exactly the mission Women in Data is built on. As a global nonprofit, Women in Data empowers individuals from all backgrounds to break into and thrive in the data industry through a unique blend of community support, hands-on education, and career advancement opportunities. With chapters around the world and programs serving everyone from beginners to seasoned professionals, the organization is creating a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable future, one data point at a time.

By playing in the Capital Cup, Josh is joining a field of local leaders competing not just for a trophy, but for the causes they care about most. Modeled after the Ryder Cup, the tournament pits two teams against each other in a three-day competition, with proceeds benefiting each golfer's chosen charity. The winning team's charities split a $100,000 prize fund, and the event has raised more than $20 million for Sacramento-region nonprofits since it began.
