Big Day.

Big Rhino.

Big Impact.

Did you know that Big Day of Giving is also International Save the Rhino Day? The Sacramento Zoo partners with the International Rhino Foundation to support conservation efforts across the world.  J. Gregory, our Southern white rhinoceros is an important ambassador for his wild counterparts, helping to inspire visitors to learn more, and care more about the wild world. The zoo participates in the Species Survival Plan for Southern white rhinos.

J. Gregory is just one of the hundreds of animals in our care who help our human guests gain a greater appreciation for nature.  This Big Day of Giving, please help give animals like J. Gregory the outstanding care they need to thrive.

Please help support our mission of inspiration, education, and conservation.

For nearly 100 years, the Sacramento Zoo has fostered a connection to the natural world for generations of children and adults. Over 50,000 school children visit the zoo annually on educational field trips, and hundreds of thousands of families enjoy the zoo each year.

At the zoo, we lead with animal welfare. Staff provide uncompromising care for the animals, and work to conserve endangered species and habitats through partners around the world.

Your gift to the Sacramento Zoo on Big Day of Giving will make a Big Impact!
